Supervises:       Production Manager, Materials Manager, Facilities Manager, Quality Manager and Tooling Equipment & Maintenance Manager

Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for all the manufacturing operations, ensuring a smooth daily operation environment.

 

 Duties and Responsibilities:  Include the following, other duties may be assigned  

  • Represent Operations on the Leadership Team
  • Manage all the daily manufacturing operations
  • Responsible for ensuring product are delivered on time, in full, with the highest quality
  • Ensures seamless coordination between the manufacturing and quality departments
  • Increase the efficiency and output of the manufacturing team
  • Responsible for all certifications and compliance
  • Carefully monitor and action the budgets of each department
  • Work with Engineering to transition new projects to manufacturing
  • Engage with customers on both new and existing business opportunities
  • Implemented and monitored safety policies
  • Drive cost down initiatives
  • Develop, review and action reports and metrics from all the departmental heads
  • Help management plan for future business ventures
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Required to understand the roles and responsibilities in the manufacturing department
  • Proven manufacturing experience, with a background in custom manufacturing
  • 10+ years of experience working in operations
  • Experience developing and managing an operations team
  • Participated and was accountable for creating and delivering budgets
  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft office programs, ERP systems

 

 Education

  • A four-year (4) college degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical)
