Summary:
Able Coil is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will conduct inspections to ensure conformance to product specifications and customer requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility: Include the following, but not limited to:
- Works from job instructions, blueprints, and other specific procedures.
- Perform inspections as required utilizing conventional layout inspection techniques and equipment. Examples include LCR meters, magnetics analyzers, transformer testers, HiPot testers, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, and microscopes.
- Support receiving, in-process and final inspection.
- Creates, completes, and compiles necessary documentation related to Quality Inspection standards, accurately and efficiently.
- Assist others with inspection techniques.
- Support other Quality Department functions as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment or a combination of experience and education.
- Knowledge/ experience with electrical measurement equipment and hand-held gauges including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, pin gages, etc.
- Ability to effectively read blueprints, mechanical drawings, inspection manuals and procedures.
- Always maintains accuracy and attention to detail and completes tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to pass the inspection eye exam (including color vision test).
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Knowledge of dimensional, visual and mechanical inspection processes.
- Possess a high level of dexterity to perform tasks related to the inspection of small parts as needed.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills.
- Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, & understand English.
- Aerospace and/or Electrical background preferred.
